David Alan Washington (Cordell Moore) is a fantastic catch: he is handsome, affluent, wealthy and accomplished. However, all those do not distract from his insecurities, which he disguises and overcompensates for with his controlling behavior.
He is in a relationship with Robin Joyner, who is also successful but kind and beautiful. Yet, David takes every opportunity to diminish her, even after she accepts his proposal of marriage.
As Robin feels more trapped than free with their love, she gains empathy from Isaac Roberts (Lamman Rucker), the fiancé of her best friend, Jill (Tempestt Bledsoe). When their friendship takes an unexpected turn, discovered immediately by David and Jill, things fall apart for Robin and Isaac. David berates Robin even more, calls off their wedding and begins dating a new woman, Tina Simpson (Denise Boutte).
Tina is typical of the woman David would date. Like Robin, she is a pretty and thoughtful achiever. Unfortunately, Tina soon discovers that all is not what it seems. Beyond the veneer of his image, David is petty and vengeful.
To what extent will all around him suffer for David, whose web of deceit includes lies, revenge and murder? It really could be a situation of life or death for someone who is so “n-secure”!
N-Secure, an independent film, did well at the box office. In “Arthouse Audit: N-Secure Insecure But Leads, ‘Boy’ Goes ‘Nowhere’” at Box Office Mojo, Ray Subers shared, “While it was comparatively unheralded prior to release, N-Secure managed to easily top all limited releases in its debut weekend.”
Presented by Heritage Entertainment, the film was shot in Memphis, Tennessee. Distributed by Freestyle Releasing in 2011, N-Secure may be bought on Blu-ray and DVD.
